Descrizione
The Fortin Fuzz ))) is a fat wink at that iconic doom, drone and sludge sound. Besides a standard-issue set of Volume and Fuzz pots, you get an extra Girth pot, giving you the power to thicken up the bottom-end and push the sound into an entirely new, sludgy dimension. This mighty yet compact little stompbox has a variable input voltage of 9 to 24V for eased pedalboard integration and a true bypass circuit, all of which has been built in Canada with devoted love and care.

Eén van de zwaardere fuzz-varianten.
Zoals de layout al verraadt, uitermate geschikt voor doom en drone.
Erg handig dat het pedaal op zowel 9 als 12/15/18/24 volt kan werken, dat geeft nét wat meer headroom, al doet ie op 9 volt ook al prima dienst, overigens.
Met de "girth"-knop krijg je, met de klok mee, meer nadruk op de basfrequenties, al is het geen typische toonregelaar in de klassieke zin.
De "girth" werkt ook prima samen met de "fuzz"-knop.
Met de fuzz op driekwart heb je een hele zware dikke muur van geluid, maar met de fuzz op max, meer boventonen die omhoog komen, al kan je dat dan weer met de girth regelen, om de hoogste frequenties een beetje te temmen.
Al met al een leuke aanvulling op de fuzzcollectie.
Ik gebruik 'm op bas, en dat werkt verder prima.
Als je ruimtes wil laten trillen met zware geluidsgolven, is dit pedaal zeker een aanrader.
